From July 21 – July 27, the Red Cross in Greater New York provided emergency assistance to 124 adults and 40 children following 41 local disasters. Here are some highlights from last week and a preview of upcoming activities. (See below)

  • We’re Hiring: The Red Cross is looking for a qualified Maintenance Tech III to support building management for each of our Greater New York Sites. We are considering both external and internal applicants.
  • Help: Summer challenges can quickly cause blood & platelet reserves to drop. We're urging all donors to give blood or platelets now to keep the blood supply strong this summer. Type O blood is most needed right now. You can help! Book an appointment ASAP: https://rcblood.org/appt
  • Jul 28 – Aug 1: The Red Cross, in collaboration with State Senator Bill Weber, is hosting a Five Towns Blood Drive challenge in Rockland County.
  • Jul 31: Greenwich Battle of the Clubs blood drive will be held in the Greenwich Town Hall Meeting Room.
