Last Week in Review
- Over the weekend, volunteers gathered in Port Washington on Long Island for a shelter simulation training in preparation for the upcoming hurricane season.
- To celebrate Mother’s Day, we shared the story of two mothers who make a difference every day: Sally Nielsen and Ashley Flowers.
- Congratulations to our partner General Needs Ltd on their successful event on Friday supporting the military community.
- Last Thursday we gathered our volunteers who support the community at the US Military Academy at West Point for a wonderful volunteer recognition event. This group of volunteers are the heart of the Red Cross mission at West Point.
- Last Wednesday, we kicked off Sound the Alarm NYC with volunteers and partners out across Queens and other boros to help install free smoke alarms and educate residents on fire safety.
- We’re grateful for how our Asian American and Pacific Islander team members, like Kyi Kyi Soe, who use their unique cultural experiences to contribute to our mission and serve their communities. #AAPIHeritageMonth
