- Over the weekend, our Service to the Armed Forces Team warmly welcomed visitors during Fleet Week at the Intrepid and collected more than 300 cards to send to service members.
- Long Island’s own local volunteer Mitchell Ostrover was featured on the Texas Gulf Coast Red Cross blog about his daughter’s heartwarming tradition of donating platelets whenever he (or his wife, Leslie) deploys to help people in need.
- On Saturday, the Metro NY North chapter had an information table at the Greenwich Town Party and helped families sign up for the upcoming Safety Town event, where kindergarteners can learn about the people who keep them safe.

- The American Red Cross of Greater New York is looking for 2 NYC Civic Corps members to commit to 10 months of service from September 2024 to June 2025 with the Volunteer Services Department.
