In Case You Missed It

From Mar. 5-11, the American Red Cross in Greater New York provided emergency assistance to 108 adults and 30 children following 31 local disaster responses. Here are some highlights from the past week (See below):

  • Mar 11: March is Red Cross Month! Join us for a Virtual Volunteer Information Session to learn about our many volunteer opportunities and how you can support our life saving mission in your community.
  • Mar 23: Join us for a National Sound the Alarm event in Peekskill, NY to help educate people about fire safety and install free smoke alarms. No prior experience necessary, training provided. Register here.
  • Apr 4-7: Save the date for our Disaster Ready Summit, which will be held at our GNY HQ in Manhattan and will feature courses such as Civilian Critical Casualty Care, Naloxone, We Were There, and Active Shooter Training. Contact GNY.DWE@redcross.org with questions.
