- Last Saturday, ABC7, CBS2, BNO News, Daily News, Hanford Sentinel, IBT, La Voce di New York, MEAWW News, New York Post, and PIX11 reported that the Red Cross helped residents after a 5-alarm fire in Flushing (Queens).
- Last Friday, ABC7, AOL, LIPress, News12, Newsday, Patch reported the #LIRedCross provided emergency assistance to 3 adults after a fire that erupted in New Cassel, Nassau County.
- Also on Friday, News12 reported the Red Cross helped 3 adults and 1 child after a fire on Virgil Place in the Bronx.

- For only the 2nd time in its history, the Red Cross has declared a national blood crisis. Patients may already be impacted. Blood donations have fallen to a 4-year summer low. Donors, especially those with type O blood, are needed ASAP to help save lives. Book your appointment now.
